The Victoria's Secret Fashion Show

After nine months of planning and preparation, more than 35 models wore backstage at Manhattan's Lexington Armory, getting ready to heat up the catwalk during Wednesday night's taping of the 2013 Victoria's Secret Fashion Show.

Brazilian native Adriana Lima, the 32-year-old mother-of-two has been with Victoria's Secret since 2000, walking in every one of the lingerie company's fashion shows during that time.This year, Lima will sport a special "Pearly Queen" look. Over 3,000 pearl buttons were used to create her outfit, to be featured in the "British Invasion" section of the show, one of the six themed segments of the night. The others are "Birds of Paradise," "Parisian Nights," "Shipwrecked," "Snow Angels" and "PINK Network."

An Angel since 2010, Candice Swanepoel is expected to don this year's Fantasy Bra, designed by jewelry company Mouwad and worth an estimated $10 million.

For this years runway show other models are expected to walk the 100-foot-long glittery runway include Alessandra Ambrosio, Doutzen Kroes, Lily Aldridge, Behati Prinsloo, and Karlie Kross. This year's show will feature more models than any year prior. Cacio & Pepe Pasta

What You Need: Noodles, butter, and cheese

Meet Rome's version of a late-night snack. Boil half a box of pasta until it's al dente, drain it, and reserve 1/2 cup of pasta water. Melt 3 tablespoons of butter in a large skillet over medium heat. Stir in 1 tablespoon of black pepper. Pour in the pasta water and bring it to a simmer. Add the pasta and 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese. Toss until it's evenly coated. This technically serves two, if you have superhuman self-restraint.



O que você precisa: macarrão, manteiga e queijo

Conheça a versão de um lanche de fim de noite, em Roma. Ferva meia caixa de macarrão até que esteja al dente, escorra e guarde 1/2 de água do macarrão nu copo. Derreta 3 colheres de sopa de manteiga em uma frigideira grande em fogo médio. Misture 1 colher de sopa de pimenta preta. Despeje a água do macarrão e trazê-lo para ferver. Adicione o macarrão e 1 copo de queijo parmesão ralado. Atire até que ele é revestido uniformemente. Esta técnica serve duas pessoas, se fores alguém que não come muito claro !

COZY PEA SOUP

What You Need: An onion, yogurt, and peas

This one is equally delicious served hot or chilled. Sauté half a chopped onion and 1/2 teaspoon dried tarragon (you can also use basil, parsley, or pretty much any dried green herb in your spice rack) in 1 tablespoon olive oil over medium heat. Once the onion is translucent, pour in two cans of chicken or vegetable broth and bring to a boil. (Don't have broth? Water works too, but is less flavorful.) Add a bag of frozen peas (reserving a small handful) and simmer for five minutes. Transfer the mixture to a blender and whiz until smooth. Pour the soup back in the pot, stir in 1/2 cup yogurt, toss in the handful of reserved peas, and season with salt and pepper.

O que você precisa: uma cebola, iogurte e ervilhas

Este é igualmente delicioso servido quente ou gelado. Refogue meia cebola picada e 1/2 colher de chá de estragão seco (você também pode usar manjericão, salsa, ou praticamente qualquer erva verde seca em sua prateleira de temperos) em uma colher de sopa de azeite de oliva em fogo médio. Uma vez que a cebola ficar translúcida, despeje duas latas de galinha ou caldo de legumes e deixe ferver. (Não tem caldo? Água funciona também, mas é menos saboroso.) Adicionar um saco de ervilhas congeladas (reservando um pequeno punhado) e deixe ferver por cinco minutos. Transfira a mistura para um liquidificador e whiz até ficar homogêneo. Despeje a sopa de volta na panela, misture 1/2 copo de iogurte, misture em um punhado de ervilhas reservadas e tempere com sal e pimenta.

AVOCADO QUESADILLA

What You Need: An avocado, cheese, and tortilla

Because avos are our soul-mate food. Mash half of one with the juice of half a lemon or lime and a good pinch of salt. Melt some butter in a small saucepan over medium heat and place a corn or flour tortilla down in the saucepan. Sprinkle 1/4 cup grated cheddar across the surface and cook until it's melted. Quickly spread the avocado across one half of the tortilla. Turn off the heat and fold the tortilla in half, pressing down so the melted cheese glues it together. Top with salsa.

O que você precisa: Um abacate, queijo e tortillas

Porque avos são nosso alimento da alma gêmea. Amasse metade de uma com o suco de meio limão ou lima e uma boa pitada de sal. Derreta um pouco de manteiga em uma panela pequena em fogo médio e coloque um milho ou farinha tortillas para baixo na panela. Salpique 1/4 de xícara de queijo cheddar ralado em toda a superfície e deixe cozinhar até que esteja derretido. Espalhou-se rapidamente o abacate em uma metade da tortilla. Desligue o fogo e dobre a omelete ao meio, pressionando para que as colas queijo derretido juntos. Top com salsa.
